You have finally done it. You have found the perfect gun for your needs, and want to make sure that you take the best care of it that you possibly can. Besides continual cleaning and maintenance, you might be wondering what else you can do to keep your gun in top working condition.
Trigger coating might be the best way to go. Coatings help keep your gun looking smooth, and giving off a better aesthetic than what you might have had before.
Before you can work on trigger coating though, you have to be sure that the trigger is properly polished. In this video, you will learn some of the steps to trigger polishing.
Polishing helps get rid of any lingering oxidation that may have occurred during the manufacturing process. As you might know, oxidation can cause rust on metal. You are going to use a polishing stone, sandpaper, a polishing wheel, and prep grease in order to do this. If you do not have these tools, it is best to leave this process to the professionals.
The first step is to use the stone in order to prep the trigger to be polished. Then use the sandpaper to quickly buff out the trigger. Slather on some of the grease and finish off the trigger on the polishing wheel.
